How to Make a DTF Gang Sheet

DTF gang sheets are one of the easiest ways to save time and money when printing multiple designs. Whether you're running a custom t-shirt business or crafting for a pop-up shop, this guide will show you exactly how to build, cut, and press your gang sheet transfers like a pro.

What Is a DTF Gang Sheet?

A DTF gang sheet is a single film sheet filled with multiple designs. Instead of ordering each transfer separately, you can upload several designs—logos, sayings, images—and print them all at once on one continuous sheet. It's ideal for batching jobs, saving money, and minimizing waste.

Want to build your own? Try our Custom Gang Sheet Builder.

Benefits of Using Gang Sheets

  • Cost-Efficient: Pay once and fit as many designs as you want.
  • Zero Waste: No leftover space, film with as many designs as you can fit.
  • Batch Ready: Perfect for fulfilling bulk orders or stocking up.

How to Build a Gang Sheet

You can make a gang sheet using our easy drag-and-drop tool right on our website. Here’s how:

  1. Go to our Gang Sheet Builder
  2. Choose any length (22 inches wide, choose your length in inches). The auto builder will increase and decrease as you make changes to your designs and transfer details.
  3. Upload your PNG designs (transparent background recommended)
  4. Arrange them however you’d like—rotate, resize, duplicate
  5. Click “Preview” and double-check layout and size
  6. Add to cart and check out

Pro Tip: Leave at least 0.25” between each design for easy cutting.

How to Cut a Gang Sheet

Once your gang sheet arrives, follow these steps:

  1. Use a sharp pair of scissors or rotary cutter
  2. Cut around each design as close to the edge as needed
  3. Keep designs stacked flat or store in clear labeled bags

Label your designs if you're prepping for events or batching customer orders—this keeps your workflow organized.

How to Press Designs from a Gang Sheet

After cutting your designs, you’ll press them just like any other DTF transfer:

  1. Pre-press your garment for 5 seconds
  2. Place your design and press at 300–320°F for 15-20 seconds
  3. Let cool completely
  4. Peel the film, cover with parchment, and repress for 5–10 seconds or check out our tseal silicone pressing sheet for even softer results!
