DTF Transfer Placement Guide
Getting the size right is half the job, placement is the other half. Use these standard placement measurements:
- Left chest: 3" to 4" down from the left shoulder seam, centered between the placket and side seam.
- Center chest / full front: 2" to 3" below the collar for adults, 1.5" to 2" for youth, centered between side seams.
- Full back: 4" to 5" below the collar seam, centered.
- Sleeve: centered on the sleeve, 0.5" to 1" above the hem (short sleeve) or on the upper arm (long sleeve).

How far below the collar should I place a DTF transfer?
Place adult center-chest designs 2" to 3" below the collar and full-back designs 4" to 5" below the collar seam. A quick trick: fold the shirt in half vertically and crease lightly to find the center line.
